Arco Pulso is Guitar, Bandolim, violin and viola performed in trio form. It is a newly formed venture of strings and percussion with Influences that include Egbert Gismonti, Astor Piazzola, Heitor Villa Lobos, Milton Nascimiento, to Ornette Coleman. The subtlety of rhythmic swinging string improvising is heard and blended with master percussionist Sergio Krakowski and guitarist Q Morrow, as in this trio often a beautiful singing resonant bowed instrument is layered throughout by Jim Nolet. As a group their compositions are high ended and advanced yet listenable. They can swing and slow to a crooning ballad sequence. It is a journey through world influences and heightened improvisations, yet their pieces contain a beginning, middle and an end.
