It is a newly formed venture of strings and percussion with Influences that include\u00a0Egbert Gismonti, Astor Piazzola, Heitor Villa Lobos, Milton Nascimiento, to Ornette Coleman. The\u00a0subtlety of rhythmic swinging string\u00a0improvising is heard and blended with master percussionist Sergio Krakowski and guitarist Q Morrow, as in this trio often a beautiful singing resonant bowed instrument is layered\u00a0throughout by Jim Nolet. As a group their compositions are high ended and advanced yet listenable. They can swing and slow to a crooning ballad sequence. He has been a member of the Edmar Casta\u00f1eda\u2019s World Music Ensemble, and has created a duo project with Cyro Baptista.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Times;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Times;\">Guitarist Q Morrow<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Times;\">Brooklyn resident, composer and improviser in world and jazz idioms including Brazilian Jazz, Choro, Karnatic, Argentina Tango, and Afro Cuban music as well.\u00a0\u00a0His jazz and world music studies include\u00a0Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh of Bangalore, India, and North Texas State among others.\u00a0Aside from ArcoPulso his latest releases include \u201cAll Around Dude\u201d, and the recently released \u201cThere Are Stars in Brooklyn\u201d.
